Information and Resources for Sections

A section is a mechanism to ensure that small chapters’ voices are heard and to allow chapters to pool resources to make attendance at the biennial delegate meeting more affordable. We are developing guidance on operating sections and posting it here as it is ready.

Section Coordinator Form

In order to declare interest in forming a section for AAUP chapters in your state with 249 or fewer members, the proposed section coordinator for that section should complete this form. Please note that a section must include at least two chapters, and that there can only be one section per state. See additonal information below about forming a section for delegate representation.

One individual will be the section coordinator. This person does not need to be a member of a chapter in the section (for example, it could be a state conference staff person.) The section coordinator will be the point of contact for the section and will coordinate outreach to the section chapters and members.

The deadline to express interest in forming a section is March 1, 2020. The deadline for chapters to declare participation in a section is April 1, 2020. See additional information below. We will begin posting information about section coordinators on this page in mid-February.
