Second Vice President Election

By Kelly Hand

In July Brooks Ellwood resigned from his position as first vice president of the AAUP. In accordance with procedures outlined in the AAUP Constitution, Second Vice President Caprice Lawless succeeded to the office of the first vice president for the remainder of the current term, which ends in June 2020. The office of second vice president thus became vacant, and the AAUP’s nominating committee invited members in good standing to submit nominations by October 15 for candidates to fill that position and complete the term ending in June 2020. The Council will vote by secret ballot in order to fill the vacancy expeditiously.
