Reports Move into Separate Volume

By Gwendolyn Bradley

Starting this month, most official AAUP reports will be published on the AAUP Web site and in a separate volume, instead of in Academe. We are making this change for two reasons. First, publishing reports online enables us to get them out faster once they are complete. Second, publishing them in a separate volume instead of in Academe will enable us to compile them all in one place each year rather than scattering them throughout the six issues of Academe; in addition, it will make more clear the distinction between reports, which encapsulate official positions and policies of the Association, and Academe, which does not. The Annual Report on the Economic Status of the Profession, also known as the compensation survey, will remain in the March–April issue of Academe.
