The AAUP Foundation’s Academic Freedom Fund awarded a three-year grant to the AAUP to support the production of volumes 7, 8, and 9 of the AAUP’s Journal of Academic Freedom, an online journal that publishes research on academic freedom and its relation to shared governance, tenure, and collective bargaining. Another three-year grant to the AAUP from the Academic Freedom Fund will support the publication and distribution of some reports included in the annual Bulletin of the American Association of University Professors.

The fund also awarded a grant to support the work of the AAUP’s Committee A on Academic Freedom and Tenure. The grant will cover some of the costs associated with conducting investigations, publishing reports, and holding committee meetings.

The Foundation’s Contingent Faculty Fund awarded a grant to support the attendance of five contingent faculty members at the AAUP’s Annual Conference on the State of Higher Education.
