This 2006 report concerns the tenure denial and dismissal of Professor David J. Wiedenfeld at New Mexico Highlands University without demonstration of cause and in violation of his academic freedom to the extent that the administration acted to dismiss Professor Turner because of displeasure with his public criticism of its policies and actions.

This 2006 report concerns action taken in December 2004 by the administration of Greenville College to terminate the tenured appointment of Professor Gerald W. Eichhoefer, without an appropriate hearing to examine the possibility that his dismissal may have violated his academic freedom to critique the college's theological position.

This 2005 report concerns actions taken by the administration of Virginia State University to dismiss two tenured members of the faculty after subjecting each of them to a post-tenure review process. The administration acted in violation of AAUP standards in failing to demonstrate cause before a faculty body.

This 2005 report concerns the actions taken by the administration of Cumberland College that led to the separation of Professor Robert J. Day from the faculty after he created a web page advocating for transparency and reform on campus. It is also concerned with the administration's nonrenewal of Professor James W. Bailey's appointment, also an issue of academic freedom related to Professor Day's case.

This 2005 report concerns actions in 2004 by President David H. Swinton of Benedict College (already censured in 1994) to dismiss Professors Milwood Motley and Larry Williams for having refused to grade students in their courses in accordance with a grading policy promulgated by the president.

This 2004 report discusses the decision made by the central administration of the City University of New York to relieve Mohamed Yousry of his teaching responsibilities and to discontinue his further service as an adjunct lecturer because of Mr. Yousry's federal indictment on charges of assisting a terrorist organization by serving as an Arabic translator for an attorney. This report concerns a case far less dramatic—issues of fairness and sound administration.

This 2004 report concerns the nonretention of over a dozen faculty members at Meharry Medical College, in Nashville, TN, for supposed reasons of restructuring and budget constraints. The report deals with issues of financial exigency, due process, academic freedom, tenure, and faculty government.

This 2004 report concerns the improper dismissal procedures at Medaille College and the actions taken by its administration and the governing board against tenured professors Therese Dillon Warden and Uhuru Watson. These dismissals took place without due process and contrary to Association standards, and were grossly disproportionate to the seriousness of the alleged offenses of sharing confidential tenure committee meeting minutes.

This 2004 report concerns the dismissal of a professor at Philander Smith College on stated grounds of insubordination; the termination of the appointments of four other full-time faculty members on stated grounds of need to reduce the size of the college's faculty and staff; and the earlier termination of the services of a program director.

This 2001 report examines the University of Dubuque's termination of fourteen faculty members, ten of them tenured. The investigating committee found that the administration's financial reasoning did not meet the standards for financial exigency, and the administration did not allow for a meaningful faculty role in the decisions to terminate.
