This 1998 supplementary report concerns the action taken by the administration of Bennington College to terminate an instructor with presumptive tenure after twenty-two years of service. The first report deals with a declaration of financial exigency as justification for terminating the appointments of presumptively tenured faculty.

This 1995 report concerns the termination of the appointments of eight members of the faculty at Alaska Pacific University. The administration initially linked the actions to a potential financial problem, but the terminations were not necessitated by financial exigency nor were they necessitated by formal discontinuance of program based on educational considerations.

This 1993 report concerns the action taken by the administration of the University of Bridgeport to terminate the appointments of two professors on thirty days' notice for a "restructuring" along with approximately fifty others. At the time of this action the professors had each completed more than thirty years of service at the university.
