AAUP-CBC Membership Meeting Adopts Amendments to the AAUP-CBC Constitution

The AAUP-CBC held a special membership meeting in Las Vegas, NV, on January 11, 2014 at 4:00 PM, and adopted proposed amendments to the AAUP-CBC Constitution. The meeting was for the sole purpose of considering amendments to the AAUP-CBC Constitution proposed by the AAUP-CBC Executive Committee.  (This meeting coincided with the AAUP-CBC Winter Regional meeting and training conference.) The amendments to the AAUP-CBC Constitution were primarily intended to address federal labor law requirements that now apply to AAUP-CBC officer elections, in particular removing and clarifying certain provisions regarding nominations for office and the conduct of elections.  The amendments also clarify that there is a requirement for one regular membership meeting annually and make certain grammatical clarifications.
