As you know, we are in unprecedented times for American higher education. Students have been abducted off the streets because of their speech. The federal government is holding grant funding hostage and issuing ransom letters demanding that universities comply with its ideological project. Faculty are being investigated for teaching their areas of expertise. And faculty senates are being shuttered and targeted for investigation. Going into the 2025–26 school year, it is important that we are prepared to respond to these attacks on our campuses and in our classrooms. Join Isaac Kamola, director of the Center for the Defense of Academic Freedom, for an overview of teaching resources, sample syllabus language, and a curricular module that can be incorporated into a graduate seminar, undergraduate class, professional development course, new faculty orientation, or campus discussion group.
