The AAUP is a union and membership association of faculty and other academic professionals. Headquartered in Washington, DC, we have members and chapters based at colleges and universities across the country.
The AAUP works on a wide variety of issues in higher education, providing analysis and resources for members and chapters to use on your own campuses.
The AAUP produces a variety of publications for the academic community, ranging from recommendations on institutional policies to a scholarly journal to our member magazine and blog, which discuss issues of the day.
Chapters are the AAUP's power base and are on the front lines of the fight to defend and advance higher education.
