We have great news to share—there’s a new AAUP union in New Hampshire. Lecturers at the University of New Hampshire voted overwhelmingly in favor of unionization, with 141 lecturers casting ballots in favor of being represented by the UNH Lecturers United AAUP.

The faculty volunteers on the organizing committee have done excellent work, says Howard Bunsis, chair of the AAUP-Collective Bargaining Congress. They have laid the foundations for a strong, member-run union at a time when faculty at colleges and universities need the protections of collective bargaining more than ever.
The AAUP-CBC and the AAUP support a voice in the workplace and economic security for all faculty. We hope this victory for the UNH lecturers is the beginning of many more to come for faculty outside the tenure track!
