New AAUP Chapter at Penn State

Penn State faculty have formed an AAUP advocacy chapter in response to new campus health care policies imposed by the administration. "Take Care of Your Health" forces Penn State employees to submit to mass-organized blood tests and biometric screenings. The imposition of these new policies raises serious questions about effective governance consultation with faculty and other constituencies on campus. More than 2,000 people have signed a petition protesting the new policies.

Officers of the newly formed AAUP chapter are: Brian Curran, Professor of Art History (President); Michelle Rodino-Colocino, Associate Professor of Film/Video, Media Studies and Women’s Studies (Vice President); and Lee Samuel Finn, Professor of Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics, (Secretary-Treasurer).
