AAUP and Inside Higher Ed Announce New Collaboration

The AAUP and Inside Higher Ed are pleased to announce a new collaboration for the release and publication of the annual AAUP Faculty Compensation Survey.

The AAUP Faculty Compensation Survey is the premier tool for exploring full-time faculty salary and benefits at two- and four-year colleges and universities, with 1,136 institutions from all fifty states and Puerto Rico participating.  The Faculty Compensation Survey includes data on more than 375,000 faculty, making it the largest independent faculty compensation survey in the United States.

The AAUP Faculty Compensation Survey is the only survey of its kind to include extensive information on benefits as well as salary.  This collaboration provides access to the most up-to-date data available on salary and benefits for the 2014–2015 academic year. Faculty, institutional planners, and administrations alike look to this survey as the industry reference on faculty compensation, and turn to it throughout the academic year, be they searching for a job or plotting institutional strategy.

The survey, along with the accompanying Annual Report on the Economic Status of the Profession, is published each year in the March–April issue of Academe, the AAUP magazine. Through Inside Higher Ed exclusively, the data will also be available in an easily searchable database, available on the web at no cost at https://www.insidehighered.com/aaup-compensation-survey/2014-2015.

Individuals and institutions seeking peer comparison reports and complete Faculty Compensation Survey datasets can still receive those services by contacting the AAUP Research Office directly at 202.737.5900 x3640 or via [email protected].
