Due to concerns about COVID-19, the AAUP office has transitioned to telework. Please contact staff by email.

COVID-19 and AAUP Office Operating Status

Due to concerns about COVID-19, the AAUP office has transitioned to telework as of the end of the business day on Monday, March 16, 2020, until further notice. The best way to reach staff members is to write to the appropriate email address for the staff member or department you need to contact. Please consult the AAUP staff page for a list of individual and departmental email addresses.

We appreciate your patience as we carry out the AAUP's mission under unprecedented conditions. Like many other organizations, we had to make a sudden decision, and an abrupt transition to telework, in response to the federal state of emergency announced late Friday, March 13.

Please note that the pandemic has also caused disruptions to our summer event lineup, making it impossible for us to hold the 2020 Conference and Biennial Meeting and 2020 Summer Institute as scheduled. The Biennial Meeting has been rescheduled for November. The election of AAUP officers and Council members scheduled for the Biennial Meeting will be conducted by a secret mail ballot of chapter and section delegates starting on or about June 19, 2020. Our 2020 Election Information page includes essential information and links.

We will continue to update this page as well as our web page with COVID-19 resources for higher education.
