Fall 2019 Academe

This issue takes a critical look at the mounting global assault on academic freedom. Articles focus on threats to socially engaged scholars abroad, attacks on gender studies in Europe and Brazil, self-censoring by scholars of China, neoliberal reforms to higher education in Russia and Egypt, obstacles to academic freedom in Canada and the UK, and other topics.
