2015 ASC Elections

The ASC Nominating Committee members for 2015 elections, appointed in accordance with the ASC Constitution and Bylaws, were Martin Kich (Wright State University), Chair, Angela Brommel (Nevada State College), and Tina Kelleher (Towson University).

The Nominating Committee worked collaboratively to recruit and review candidates for the 2015 ASC election. Electronic notices were sent to all members on November 12, December 18, and January 7. In addition, multiple call-for-nominations emails were sent to national and state leadership bodies of the AAUP, and complete information was posted on the AAUP website.

In 2015, the ASC membership elected a total of three ASC Executive Committee members: Chair, Vice-Chair, and one Member at Large. The election of the office of Chair of the ASC was conducted by mail ballot in conjunction with AAUP Council elections. The Vice-Chair and Member at Large seats were elected by delegates to the June 12 ASC meeting in Washington, DC. ASC rules specify that nominations for Vice-Chair and Member at Large may also be made from the floor of the June ASC meeting provided nominees receive written endorsement from no fewer than three authorized delegates to the Assembly.

The Nominating Committee sought to find at least two candidates for each position. The process resulted in eight candidates completing the requirements to be placed on the ballot. The list of candidates is below.
