A New Look For Academe

By Michael Ferguson

Higher Education and the media are facing hard times, but Academe remains as committed as ever to publishing articles that engage and inform you, our readers. Beginning with this issue, we bring you these articles in a revitalized format. Academe, as longtime readers may notice, has a new design—one that we hope will draw more readers into our pages.

As always, we welcome your feedback. Let us know what you think of Academe’s updated look, or comment on any of the stories you read in this issue, by writing to academe@aaup.org. And stay tuned: more changes, including the launch of a new digital edition of the magazine and the ability to “opt out” of print subscriptions, are planned for 2012.
