In 2015, the Assembly of State Conferences (ASC) will hold nominations and elections for the following officer positions on the ASC Executive Committee: Chair, Vice-Chair, and one At Large Member. The term of office for Chair and Vice-Chair shall be three years, and the term of office for the At Large Member shall be two years. The terms shall commence at the close of the session of the Assembly of State Conferences' meeting at or after which the officer is elected.

Nominations for ASC Officers
The ASC By-Laws governing nominations explain:
Nominations shall be sent to the Chair of the Nominating Committee. With respect to positions other than the Chair of the ASC, the Nominating Committee shall consider nominations from any member resident in a state with an active state conference. [The Nominating Committee shall also consider nominations for Chair of the ASC from any member resident in a state with an active state conference.] With respect to all positions, an eligible candidate for office whose name is recommended to the Nominating Committee by members from three or more state conferences shall be included among the candidates for that office.
At the annual meeting, nominations for Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and At Large Member may also be made from the floor, provided nominees receive written endorsement from no fewer than three authorized delegates to the Assembly. The time for presentation of nominations from the floor shall be scheduled prior to approval of the agenda of the Assembly.
The elections, and additional nominations, for the offices of Vice Chair and Member-At-Large will take place at the ASC annual meeting on the June 12, 2015, in Washington, DC. The election for the office of Chair of the ASC will be conducted by mail ballot in conjunction with AAUP Council elections. All nominations for the office of Chair must be sent to the Nominating Committee.

The ASC Nominating Committee members, appointed in accordance with the ASC Constitution and Bylaws, are Martin Kich (Wright State University), Chair, Angela Brommel (Nevada State College), and Tina Kelleher (Towson University).
Election of ASC Officers
The election for the office of Chair of the ASC will be conducted by mail ballot in conjunction with AAUP Council elections. A notice of election with all nominees for the office of Chair shall be sent to AAUP members resident in states that have active State Conferences. The elections for the offices of Vice Chair and Member-At-Large will take place at the ASC annual meeting on the June 12, 2015, in Washington, DC. The Vice Chair and At Large Member shall be elected by a majority vote of delegates present and voting at the time of the casting of ballots. If there is no majority for an office after an initial balloting, the voting shall take place immediately again. No candidates shall be dropped from the voting unless they withdraw voluntarily.
