The Annual Report on the Economic Status of the Profession

The AAUP's faculty compensation survey, the Annual Report on the Economic Status of the Profession, is published in the March-April issue of Academe. AAUP members receive a copy of the complete print edition as a benefit of membership. Non-members may order a copy by visiting the online AAUP store or calling (202) 737-5900, ext. 102. Single copies are $95.

Survey reports for recent years, including aggregate tables and appendices listing individual institutions, are online; see links to the reports below.

Institutional respondents to our annual Faculty Compensation Survey will find current information for submitting and reviewing data at https://research.aaup.org.

Institutional researchers and others may also order a complete dataset. The dataset for the current year is available on or about March 28. The dataset is an Excel file and includes all of the report Appendix listings, plus additional fields. The price is $400 for institutions that participated in this year's survey and $475 for nonparticipating institutions. Order by sending an e-mail with complete contact information to aaupfcs@aaup.org. Please include your postal address, telephone number and e-mail address. We will send the dataset as an e-mail attachment along with an invoice.
