Solution to Grade Inflation

To the Editor:

This letter responds to "Professor Develops Internet Database on Grade Inflation" from the May-June issue. There is a simple solution to the increasing problem of grade inflation. Get university computer programmers to include with every grade in a class above a certain size (eight? ten? twelve?) the average grade in that class. One will be able to find out if, for example, a B is high or low compared with the others.
