– Update: The Illinois labor board has rejected a request from the University of Illinois at Chicago administration to stay an order certifying the faculty union. The administration has been trying to derail the union since it formed in the spring. (10/24)

Censure Removals Bring Closure
– Alll five New Orleans institutions censured for post-Katrina violations of academic freedom, tenure, and sound principles of shared governance have now been removed from the censure list. (6/14)

AAUP Censures One, Sanctions Two, and Removes Censure from Two
– AAUP places Bethune Cookman University on the list of censured administrations; and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Idaho State University on the list of sanction institutions. In addition, the University of New Orleans and Loyola University New Orleans were removed from its censured administration list. (6/13)
