Ralph S. Brown Award for Shared Governance – Nominations are due April 15 for the Ralph S. Brown Award for Shared Governance and Alexander Meiklejohn Award for Academic Freedom, both given to an American college or university administrator or trustee, or to a board of trustees. Nominations of individuals for both the Georgina M. Smith Award and the Iris Molotsky Award for Excellence in Coverage of Higher Education are also due April 15. (4/8)
Alexander Meiklejohn Award for Academic Freedom
Georgina M. Smith Award
Iris Molotsky Award for Excellence in Coverage of Higher Education – The purpose of the award is to recognize and stimulate coverage of higher education nationally and to encourage thoughtful and comprehensive reporting of higher education issues. Entries will be judged on the basis of their relevance to issues confronting higher education.

Henry T. Yost Congressional Recognition Award
Marilyn Sternberg Award – All AAUP CBC chapters are invited to submit nominations for the Marilyn Sternberg Award, which recognizes an AAUP member or chapter for courage, persistence, political foresight, imagination, concern for human rights, and collective bargaining skills. Report of the 2008 Nominating Committee

Gary Rhoades Appointed AAUP General Secretary
